Proposal Rock

The inherient beauty of Proposal Rock has attracted many to gaze upon its steeply slanting forested walls. Said to be named after a 19th century sea captain who proposed to his lover. Today Proposal Rock is still a romantic destination for the adventursome couple, but the beauty can be seen be all who walk the trails of Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site. Those attempting to summit the rock should beware since the steep slopes and and quickly changing tides can be dangerous to the unwairy hiker. Check the Oregon State Park site for details on the seasonability of these trails and perparedness to enjoy these unique oregon coast views.
